• You cannot see, smell or taste radon. But it still may be a problem in your home. Breathing air containing radon, you increase your risk of getting lung cancer. In fact, the US Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the US today. Testing is the only way to find out if your home has Radon.

• A radon test measures the amount of radon gas in your home's air to assess potential health risks. Radon is a radioactive gas that can seep into your home through cracks in the foundation and contaminate the air. Exposure to high levels of radon over time can increase the risk of lung disease​

What is the purpose of a
radon test?

• Testing for the presence of radon is part of the health and safety aspect of a home inspection. Your home inspector can also inspect a radon mitigation system already present in the home to ensure it's functioning properly and reducing radon levels.
